Study finds that the pedigree with matrilineal mitochondrial 4,263 mutation carried by members, 15 people in its 27 matrilineal family members suffering from high blood pressure, matriarchal members of hypertension prevalence as high as 55.6%, is much higher than non-matriarchal members, showing genetic early onset phenomenon. In response, the research group of the United States Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Austria Vienna Medical University collaborative research, found 4,263 mutation of mitochondria, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, causing blood pressure to rise.researchers point out that, in patients with essential hypertension in China, some 8 million cases of high blood pressure or been part under the influence of variation in mitochondria.
